street fashion: the tits and tats of fashion; pure explosion part un

so tonight i trucked my little tush all the way to the deepest, darkest, poorly lit corner of Gastown for the festivus de fashionista. aka. the vancouver fashion meet-up.
split purely by colorful dots assigned to said areas of fashion, we were unleashed unto each other in an array of color, lights, magic and glitter.
well. the last three were in my mind. but you get the picture.
somehow in the midst of all my socially awkward outfit picture taking, i managed to get snagged into a deserted bar area and interviewed by the lovely kris krug for the awesome Next Door Style Diary.
of course. i made a complete and total ass of myself. but that is what i do. that is my job.
i’m a professional. pro-ho.

this lovely lady started String Magazine. all. by. herself. impressive. her style was effortless, causal and spunky. and she is intiated into the Dorothy Complex Club, otherwise known as the DCC motherf*ckers.
points of interest: the front knot shirt (often confused with the hip knot and back tie), the fact that her skinny jeans are CUFFED in her boots (adorable), the obvious: the red fly me high away from this place peter pan boots (DCC approved), the heavy weight turquoise
she was rad; like totes rad

she was rad; like totes rad

okay. i will admit it. i am not a die-hard i love you until my dying day deathbed fan of blue. in fact. i don’t fancy it all, but this girl’s combo of blue and green had my little water heart a-swim. we talked the business aspect of fashion and the utmost need for skill sharing in the application of creativity when transferred from knowledge to production. plus. her shoes were five-star wicked.
points of interest: the stripes from here to way over there, an aqua blue deceptacon, heavy hitter faux peredot and the heels made with scraps of the awful christmas sweater that grandma gave you three christmases ago
i was trying to convince these ladies why they should start a blog

these ladies were adorable. they were toying with the idea of starting a culture/music/lifestyle/fashion blog and i was very much being their cheerleader while taking their photos. i like to cheer the ladies on while taking their photos. which sounds pervy. but is not.
get. your. mind. out. of. the. gutter. their outfits were hot. what can i say.
points of interest: two tone me up to heaven dress, the leather and black pumps gave me daydreams of Olivia, shiny tights with a touch of magical glitter
these shoes made me die

these shoes made me die

very rarely do i take photos of just epic token pieces but these were way too sweet to pass up. the owner of said awesome shoes claimed they were a gift. purchased in london. from her grandmother. when her grandmother didn’t want them. such an awesome story attached to such awesome shoes sounds far-fetched but i was sold. hook. line and sinker.
points of interest: the useless front tie that makes me die inside, the cobblestone background, how she was able to pose her feet so effortlessly (i will never know)

tonight was a total WIN. everyone rocked. in fact. they rocked so much that there will be a part deux. suckas.

meow.meow. bitches.
